Materials, construction techniques and social Identity through the centuries, from prehistory to the pre-industrial era in the Balkans and Eastern Μediterranean. The lecture series, open to public, is co-organized by the School of Αrchitecture at the Democritus University of Thrace and the ArScAn – Archéologies et Sciences de l’ Antiquité, laboratory of the University of Nanterre, Paris. Its ultimate goal is to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and exchange methodologies and expertise in architecture, archaeology, social anthropology, construction technology, materials, and study their timeless societal and cultural impact in the context of the Balkans and the Eastern Mediterranean.
